Welcome to Alameda Church of Christ!
We are a group of disciples, grateful recipients of the grace of the Son of God, Jesus the Christ. We are not much, but Jesus is everything. His name says it all. In the Hebrew tongue, the name Jesus is Yeshua, which means “Jehovah saves.”
In the book of Isaiah, chapter 9, it is prophesied that a child would be born, the government would rest upon His shoulders, and He would bring peace, reigning on an eternal throne. The Scripture assures us that “the zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.”
The very existence of the Lord’s church here in Alameda, CA, is a living testimony to the fulfillment of this prophecy.
This life often brings trials and offers little hope. It’s natural to wonder, “Can anything good come out of this life?” To that question, we offer you an invitation:
